David Sykes is a London-based photographer who has a penchant for oddball still life and mind tricks. He works mainly in the realms of advertising, design and editorial and his simple images are often thought-provoking and very clever.

He's made mini basketballs and rope into spaghetti and meatballs, skulls into icy-poles, balloons into bangers and mash – he's quite clearly a bit of a thinker. It must be fun to be smart. And have vision. And talent.

Aww well I think you're smart, talented and have vision Katie :P I'm loving these shots, really quite thought provoking, it feels good to engage that part of the brain when seeing a photo as compared to the use 'well it looks priiiiittty' response. So book-marking this lad! - Jake OXOXO

Whoa.. balloons! This is awesome! I totally agree, it's so refreshing to see something that has more depth than an aesthetic appeal :D
