As a kid I remember my mum being obsessed with fitness videos. If in the background I could here the Jackson 5 singing
Can you feel it and Jane Fonda repeating "make it burn" over the top I knew it was aerobics time. Incidentally that particular video I believe Ms Fonda ended upgetting sued for after a exercising viewer did herself some kind of serious injury but that's another story.
I just came across a little flickr gallery dedicated to the many celebrity fitness videos that have been collecting dust in vhs cabinets around the world. In my opinion, as a career move, few recover from producing a fitness video. Jenny Garth, Dolph Lundgren, Cher, Anna Kournikova, Traci Lords, it's almost as if the fitness video represents the beginning of the end for all of those who chose to flex and wear lycra.
